Adjunct Associate Research Scientist
Generose Nziguheba is a soil ecologist based at IITA-Kenya. Previously, she was an Associate Research Scientist with the AgCenter from 2008 – 2013. She obtained the Masters’ degree in Agronomic Sciences at the University of Burundi and her PhD in Applied Biological Sciences at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. Her research career has focused on understanding nutrient dynamics and crop productivity under small-scale farming systems in sub-Sahara Africa. She also has been a post doctoral fellow at various institutions: the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture based in Nigeria, the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, and the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. She was one of the recipients of the Ford Foundation Fellowship for Women in biophysical sciences, based at the World Agroforestry Center in Kenya.
